I didn't want to give her simple headshots...
So I gave her professional headshots that blend architectural elements and biophilic design. Unique portraiture that captures both corporate and natural aesthetics.
But first, how did we get there?
Rewind.
Swoop!
She reached out to me in need of headshots. Now, when someone comes to me for any type of photoshoot, I always ask what the photographs will be used for and why they are needed. Over the conversation, it came out that she needed headshots for an overseas conference centering on humanity's relationship with architecture and biophilic design.
(For those who don’t know, because I sure didn’t, biophilic design is an architectural approach to increase our connection to the natural world. So basically more plants inside, more natural light, ventilation, etc…)
It was THIS detail that caught my attention and determined how our shoot would flow. Yes, she needed headshots she could use with anything, but she also needed ones that incorporated the themes of this professional conference. So I found a location that had wonderful archways and foliage that would portray just that.
One request she had was to get black and white ones in the bunch, and you know I’m a sucker for black and white, so I was more than happy to oblige!
